Turning Point Farm raises Gotland Sheep with our partners at By George Farm. We sell our yarns jointly under the name - The Sheep Project. We have been raising sheep for the past 10 years. We have lambs in the spring who bring delight to our farm life. We raise them on green fields with careful handling to create friendly, happy sheep who produce exceptional wool. We shear twice a year to gather the highest quality fiber. We process the wool, sell raw fleeces, roving, hand spun and mill spun yarns, hand knitted and hand felted garments and sheared pelts. Gotlands grow lustrous curls that make for a glossy finish to the fiber. It is unique and is rarely found in yarn stores. We also have limited amounts of Gotland/Shetland fiber that comes from three of our crossbred sheep, which is some of the softest wool this side of merino. We are happy to discuss special orders and help you find the perfect fiber to satisfy your passion for wool.
